Monday With The Meezer!

Mickey the meezer here with my late Monday report of the goings on at our insane asylum.
Here I am waitin' impatiently for my turn.
I'm still limited on 'puter time.
The humans are still lookin' for the right pieces to fix the lesser hunting machine.
So I went explorin' in dog world.
I made sure the food was secured.
Then I rassled with Friday.
She grabbed me by my ear; so I gave up.
And Friday went back to playin' with her cousins, Moon and Star.
While I went on to check out the acton with the mouse huntin'.
The mousies run along the outside of the big window.
I didn't see any.
Petey said he seen them.
They're just out of reach. Two panes of glass away.
Lucky has been keeping a near constant lookout for three days now.
I'm gonna head back to cat land now; Human has finished playin' in our sandbox.

Human Hunting Machines

We were going to do our post on Sunday, but...

We have been unable to use the computer because the humans have been hogging it. We tried to tell them that we have to use it too. That we have a duty to report all that goes on at our house. But they wouldn't get off of it. They were on the internet looking for parts for the lesser hunting machine. It's the gold one on the right.

It has been on 269,000 hunts over the years.
The blue one on the left hasn't hunted for a long time.
It is an alien that sprung a leak and spilled all its green blood onto the driveway.
I don't think it will be joining the hunt any time soon.
Humom said it leaked all its blood out because it was sad and that we should have helped it commit suicide when we had the chance.
They are Human's hunting machines.
These are Humom's hunting machines.
Bonnie and Clyde.
Bonnie doesn't hunt anymore either; but Clyde is a workhorse and loves to hunt everyday.

Here is the adorable puppy pic. Esmerelda.
If you would like to buy her or any of the other cuties you can go to www.chicoschihuahuas.com
There is a large assortment to choose from.
You can go to Petey's blog to see some of the other stuff that went on.

Wide World Wednesday!

We  haven't got to blog for the last few days 'cause we Mickey has been in time out in the bathrrom.
Alot.
Mickey has been a bad boy, whappin' Sooner all over the bedroom.
So, we did as we were told and did some deep contemplating..
We thought we would show you some of the sights from our neck of the woods.
Here is what we came up with:

This is the view from the back porch. When there are no leaves on the trees you can see Mt. Scott. There is a road that winds its way up to the top. You can see everywhere from there.
This is what the full moon looks like in the winter time as it rises over the big pine.
It doesn't look like that tonite.
Tonite, it looks like this.

Monday Meezer Report

It's been busy around here. After the mouse hunt in the dining room, Humom went on a cleaning spree to remove any traces of mouse from our house. We were forced to watch from the hallway.
We couldn't see much through the glass, so Humom cleaned it for us.

Much better, thank you.

The new compost bin has been finished and filled.
This is what we had before...

... and this is what we have now.
Humom and T2 painted up and re-purposed some old freebie metal shelves.
Much nicer; we kitties think.
See all the stuff in the background of these pictures; that's our neighbor, Him's, yard. Him is a collector of free stuff just like our Humom is. Him gave Humom the old shelves and the old fence posts to make this fancy new compost bin.

Here is this weeks Awww...Ain't They Adorable Shot
Momma Fi and her girl puppies.
She had boys last time.

Check Petronious The Arbiter to find out what went on in the rest of the house and out on the front porch. All we know is what we can see from the bathroom window.
Which is not much.

MORE WITH MICKEY

While I enjoyed Petey's post about our mousie; it left me wanting for more.
Now don't get me wrong.
Everything I learnt, I learnt from Pete.

Any ways...

Oh Yeah,
Hunting Protocols.
Something that is so obvious to us cats is totally lost on the humans end.
They do their so called "hunting".
Which for most humans, involves them jumpin' in the metal machine and "navigating" to the nearest mega-mart; then choosing from neatly packaged "comestibles".

And now...

Proper Hunting Protocols.
Sniff the air; take in the essence that is your prey.
Follow that scent and determine its origins.
Then, carefully and cautiously, stalk your prey.

And...
when the time is right; pounce like your life depended upon it.
Don't kill it too quickly; take your time and savor the moment.
Have some fun; life is short; enjoy your catch.
Don't be afraid to play with your food.
Bat it around; feel the softness of its fur or the tickle of it feathers on your paws.

Then...
when you're done played out.
Do what any self-respecting house cat should do...

leave it at the foot of your favorite human; to show them that you are a mighty hunter.
